Roughness Testing
Roughness Testing is used to measure the surface texture or smoothness of a workpiece, such as weld surfaces or machined metal surfaces. Using a surface roughness tester, a probe travels along the material surface and displays values like Ra or Rz to indicate the level of roughness. This test helps ensure that the surface meets required specifications, improves quality control, and minimizes the risk of wear or leakage in critical components.
